Isaiah 56:7 teaches us that God’s house shall be called a “House of Prayer.” As we enter into the New Testament we soon discover that when we receive the Holy Spirit into our lives, we become that house of prayer. At NHFC, it is not only our desire for people to be constantly engaged in prayer, (conversation with God), but as a local church we want to provide a focused time where we can come together to pray over the needs of our families, community, and day to day life. Out of this desire was born 826.
826 comes from Romans 8:26 which reads, “ In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;…” (NASB) I don’t know about you, but sometimes I feel so overwhelmed with all that life throws at me that I wish I could just pour out my heart…but feel a loss for words. And that is the purpose for 826…
826 is our prayer life group that meets each Tuesday night from 7:00-8:30 p.m. We believe that whatever difficulty we are facing, we matter to God and He loves us deeply and that He has provided us with an awesome opportunity and freedom to come together and pray.
If there is anything that you would like us to pray for or celebrate, please send us your request and we will commit to lifting it in prayer the next time 826 meets. If you would like to be contacted by someone of the 826 prayer group to pray with you, please note that in your request along with a number you can be reached. Just click below!
